João Gilberto Santiño, also known as Bantera, was born in Luanda, Angola, in 1967. His works are the result of a constant exploration of his own psique. The use of vibrant colors, mixed media and abstract elements are some of his works' signature attributes. He currently lives and works in Apeldoorn.
